On 5th of May 2004 an episode of 'The New Inventors' was aired that featured the SDU which won the award for best invention of the night. In the following 3 days viewers were allowed to vote for their favourite invention. SDU won again with a landslide. Thanks to all of you who voted!

The SDU was also 1 of 5 inventions to be selected for the Grand Final Episode that aired in November 2004. SDU was the only Grand Finalist to be in the Grand final AND People's Choice Finalist.
